Philosophy


WHAT IS PHILOSOPHY OF ART AND ACTION?

The dry text of understanding says philosophy encompasses logic, aesthetics, metaphysics, epistemology and ethics toward the purposeful pursuit of enlightenment and wisdom. We visualize a group of genius monks with too much time and little spontaneity pontificating about the most minute details of human existence. Philosophy analyzes the grounds of and concepts expressing fundamental beliefs by trying to calmly and with equanimity unfold a sphere of activity or thought. Again, we see reflection by unusual beings who otherwise do not function, like the rest of us, in the exhaustive wonderment of life. To genuinely be a philosopher is more than writing down researched and reflective thought forms. The action of comprehending cannot be fully realized without doing, for nothing can ever be reflected upon or understood without some action initiating or resulting from it. For example, you can say you love someone by all the definitions and thoughts you have had, but if you do not show others with your actions that this is true, love is but a definition.

Art is a creation skill acquired through spirit, study, observation, and/or experience then crafted into something tangible. Too, and in its highest form, it is art to create your life. We are all artists.

Philosophy of Art and Action digs hard into the practicality of applying the totality of the definition of philosophy toward enlightenment and wisdom in action. With an inner guidance of higher powers mixed with human thoughtfulness and experimental action and learning, we can touch our common purpose and craft all our ingenious and idiosyncratic behaviors and innovations toward the manifestation of our artful absolute; us!
